-- Game #3 of the Altoona-Trenton Eastern League Championship was rained out last night; it resumes today at Trenton with the teams tied 1-1 in the five game set.
-- Jim Callis of Baseball America on Tim Alderson "Whatever the reason, Alderson isn't the same pitcher he was in 2008, or even when the Pirates acquired him in mid-2009. Unless he finds a solution, it's difficult to envision him making it to the majors."
-- Who might the Pirates be looking at in the 2011 draft? Well, 3B Anthony Rendon of Rice for sure, but they could also be considering RHP Gerrit Cole from UCLA, LHP Matt Purke of TCU, or OF George Springer of UConn for that top spot.

They'd better take Rendon. If they don't, it will be time to storm the Bastille.
He's the front runner for sure, Wil, but not exactly a no-brainer at the top spot like Strasburg and Harper were. His recovery from ankle surgery might impact the pick, too.
