Cole v Estrada, Lineup, Starling Still Out, Ike On A Roll...

Gerrit Cole (3-2, 3.64 ERA) faces Marco Estrada (2-1, 3.53 ERA). Beside starting a small riot, Cole had his best outing of the season April 20th in his no-decision against the Brewers, holding them to a run in eight innings. (The Bucs lost 3-2 in 14 innings when Jason Grilli blew the save.) Estrada was his opponent that day, and if tonight's game is half as intense, it should be pretty good entertainment.

The lineup: Josh Harrison RF, Neil Walker 2B, Cutch CF, Pedro 3B, Jose Tabat LF, Ike Davis 1B, Jordy Mercer SS, Chris Stewart C and Cole. And yes, Estrada is a lefty; guess Clint figures that Josh and JT have the hot hands while Starling is out nursing his back.

The game starts at 8:10 and be aired by Root Sports and 93.7 The Fan.

  • The Brewers have won six of seven games between the teams this season despite outscoring the Pirates by only one run, 29-28.
  • Ike Davis has a five game hitting streak, his longest since 2012.
  • As expected, the Brew Crew activated Ryan Braun and put A-Ram on the 15-day DL.
