  • Ryan Fagan of The Sporting News has a list of possible trade options for the top four teams in the NL Central.
  • Speaking of deals, Jon Heyman of CBS Sport's Baseball Insider posts that the Bucs are in the early mix for Huston Street.
  • In the first "let's play GM" post of the deadline dealing season, Shanna Rose of isportsweb suggests a Josh Bell-for-Anthony Rizzo swap.
  • Cutch will bat lead-off for the NL All-Stars tonight.
  • Kind of an oddity - the Pirate pitching staff allows the fourth fewest hard-hit balls, but are 17th in ERA per ESPN's Mark Simon.
  • One bright spot of getting sent down - Matt Hague reclaimed a spot for the International League All-Star Game and hit in the Home Run Derby, where he made it to the semi-final round, hitting six homers.
  • OF Jaff Decker was sent back to Indy.
  • OF Josh Bell (.333, 9 HR, 51 RBI)  is going from High A Bradenton to AA Altoona, tweeted his teammate Barrett Barnes. It's about the right time for promotions in the system. There's already been a lot of movement with the pitchers because of injuries at the MLB level, so we'll get to see if the FO is ready to bump up any more of the position players.
  • Fangraphs selected its Top 25 Prospects; Tyler Glasnow was #16.
  • After the Bucs traded to get RHP Duke Welker back from the Twins in the off season, MLB Trade Rumors reported that he was released yesterday.
  • Yoenis Cespedes rolled over Todd Frazier to take his second straight HR Derby crown.
