The back lot match will feature twirlers Dario Agrazal, who will start, followed by Luis Escobar, Yeudy Garcia and Johnny Hellweg. The B lineup will include Austin Meadows, Jason Martin, Cole Tucker and Bryan Reynolds.

Yesterday: Yay, a win. Nick Kingham dodged a few raindrops, giving up a run on three hits and two walks in three IP but only a run as the Bucs got off the schneid with a 4-1 decision over the Blue Jays. Five Buc pitchers covered the final six frames scorelessly, giving up just three more knocks, with Clay Holmes getting the W and John Stilson closing for the save.

Austin Meadows having himself a spring fling.
The Bucs only managed four safeties themselves, but S-Rod and Austin Meadow both went yard while the game-winner was scored by by Kevin Newman, who was bopped by a pitch and plated on Eric Wood's rap. We also got to see old Pittsburgh guys Steve Pearce, Reese McGuire and Gift Ngoebe again, now plying their trade in the Great White North.

Notes:
  • Gregory Polanco was held out of today's lineup because of a bruised left knee suffered after an awkward slide yesterday.
  • Joe Musgrove is about ready to rejoin the party; he threw another bullpen today.
  • John Heyman reports that Kevin Siegrist's deal is worth $1.5M plus incentives at the MLB level.
  • Tyler Gaffney, the college and later pro gridder who played briefly in the Buc system, is back at age 27. Nicholas Caporoso of Rumbunter has the reunion story.
