The "coaching up" part is BP, bullpen sessions and sitting in on team meetings. I'm surprised the players' union wo...Hmmm. I'm surprised the players' union would allow Hague, Hernandez, et al to "be coached up a little" even though they're not on the roster and, I assume, are not being paid for their time in Pittsburgh. Normally the MLBPA is all over stuff like this. Unless this is a loophole in the CBA, this is definitely surprising.
