But for a RH stick that's not gonna block anyone, Alou is kinda interesting.Ron Ieracihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08784507810080514099noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6207200414495313452.post-77406619910641379792009-01-27T21:19:00.000-05:002009-01-27T21:19:00.000-05:00Thanks for the support and spreading the word in t...Thanks for the support and spreading the word in the Vote for Romulo CampaignEronhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17998604711344461462noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6207200414495313452.post-56533923604691995772009-01-27T21:10:00.000-05:002009-01-27T21:10:00.000-05:00PS Braden Looper, for my money, would be the most ...PS Braden Looper, for my money, would be the most useful arm still out there, once we get past Ben Sheets, of course. Man, I'd still love to Sheets here. But it looks like the Texas Rangers are going to bring him back home to the Gulf Shores.

Looper, while nothing spectacular, would have the added incentive to stick it to his ex-Cardinal teammates. And if he can keep on pitching the way he has for the past year or two, he would definitely be useful for us for a couple of seasons.WilliamJPellashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12774466220683142262noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6207200414495313452.post-20769281618648630052009-01-27T20:49:00.000-05:002009-01-27T20:49:00.000-05:00Ya know, Moises Alou can still hit, I don't care h...Ya know, Moises Alou can still hit, I don't care how old he is. And he started in our organization. Of course he's unbelievably injury prone and his body is obviously breaking down. But for 250 - 300 at bats, I'd be willing to bet he'd still hit .300 and drive in 40-50 runs. If I was sure he'd stay healthy, and given that we're going to stink, anyway, it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world to have him back in Pittsburgh. He could wrap up his career in the same city where it started, and I have no doubt he'd still be productive, as long as he could get on the field.WilliamJPellashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12774466220683142262noreply@blogger.com
