If he would only trust it a little more and go after batters instead of nibbling, he'd likely be fine.

He does have a window, and I think it extends into 2013 camp. Bedard and Correia will be gone by then, and he'll have his opening, as will the rest of the current Indy staff.Ron Ieracihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08784507810080514099noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6207200414495313452.post-88124536956104289202012-04-13T10:36:41.576-04:002012-04-13T10:36:41.576-04:00It does look like he is about to be "lapped&q...It does look like he is about to be "lapped" by the next wave of kids coming up behind him, though there might be one last window for him later this season. You'd think the Pirates will trade Bedard rather than play out the string with him and then let him walk or---worse---try to sign him to a longer term deal. Bedard is a very good pitcher, to be sure, but he's terribly injury prone and is just not the kind of risk the Pirates need to be taking. That means there will be an opening in the rotation by the trade deadline. Assuming Lincoln is dealing in Triple A and that Kyle McPherson, Rudy Owens and/or Jeff Locke haven't passed him up, he could get one last look in Pittsburgh later this season. But given that the Pirates were talking about dealing him to the Yankees last winter, it does not appear that Brad is in their plans. He will probably be dealt.WilliamJPellashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12774466220683142262noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6207200414495313452.post-43900927278719755392012-04-12T19:11:48.263-04:002012-04-12T19:11:48.263-04:00THis guy needsto get out of the Pittsburgh organiz...THis guy needsto get out of the Pittsburgh organization.
