Moskos, I think, is hurt but I don't think I'd have pulled the plug on him so quickly. Slaten had wobbly control at times but also showed the ability to strike hitters out. Guess they just didn't like how many he walks? Even with all that, he was more effective than most of the handful of lefties we've had over the past couple of seasons. And, what's with the sudden parade of utility infielders? Don't we have enough guys like that in the minors? Why not just play Jordy Mercer? I don't get this at all. Last year, it was the Pirates claiming every four-A journeyman catcher in the universe. Now it's utility infielders.
