Just 'cuz you're lefthanded doesn't mean you're automatically "worth it". I'll grant you the indisputable fact that Oliver had a great season for us once upon a time, and that he still throws harder than most lefties. Certainly he is the kind of pitcher many clubs find "intriguing", mostly because they just "know" that they can fix him where everyone else failed (and got fired, like Rick Peterson did this year for the Mets).
