Wandy v Shaun Marcum

Wandy Rodriguez (2-2, 4.02) faces Shaun Marcum (0-2, 7.20) tonight. Wandy's in the midst of a rough patch, but has gone 5-2 with a 2.88 ERA in nine career starts against the Mets. Marcum has had a quite forgettable debut in NY, but with the Brewers, he was 1-1 with a 0.75 ERA in two starts last year against the Pirates, so... The game begins at 7:10 and will be aired by Root Sports and The Fan 93.7.

• The Pirates restarted the clock for RHP Charlie Morton so he has a fresh 30 days of rehab before he has to be added to the roster.
• Carson Cistuli of Fangraphs looked at park-adjusted home run rates, and the Bucs are fifth in the MLB (well, tied with a small posse of other teams) in home run rate at 3.1%.
• OF Gregory Polanco made Baseball America's Prospect Hot Sheet, which  wrote that "Polanco is...proving his 2012 breakout season was no fluke."
• Kiley McDaniel of Scouting Baseball ran his first mock draft. He has the Bucs on HS catcher Reese McGuire and Stanford OF Austin Wilson over Arkansas RHP Ryne Stanek ,assuming a couple of other guys they like, OFs Austin Meadows and Hunter Renfroe, dare taken before Pittsburgh selects.
