Pitchers: Josh Lindblom, Jared Hughes, Dovydas Neverauskas, Dan Runzler, Edgar Santana, Jared Lakind & Cody Dickson. A chance to look at the kiddie corps and to see if Jared can locate his mojo.

Yesterday's Game: Move on, nothing to see here. Pittsburgh was clobbered by the Blue Jays 12-0. Tony Watson, AJ Schugle, Juan Nicasio and Antonio Bastardo were banged around after two nice opening frames by Ivan Nova. The best news of the day was that Fran caught six innings w/o any discomfort.

Notes:
  • Former Bucco Ryan Vogelsong is slated to see some action for Minnesota today.
  • He's getting close - Josh Bell was cleared for baserunning today; he may be ready for game action sometime next week.

  • Cutch has a short vid on the Player's Tribune platform on bullying, whether on the playground or via social media, empathizing with those being bullied and urging them to talk to someone about it.
  • IF Steve Lombardozzi, who last played the show in 2015 with the Pirates, signed a minor league deal with Miami.
  • Jeff Todd of MLB Trade Rumors posts re: possible landing spots for the yet-unsigned free agent Pedro Alvarez.
  • Tough break: Twins OF'er Alex Kirilloff, 19, a local kid from Plum HS who was the 15th overall pick of the 2016 draft, will undergo TJ surgery and miss the year. He was already the Twinkies #3 prospect.
