Pirates Close Out In Colorado w/Rubber Match, Arch v Marquez, Lineup & Notes - Bell Back, Joey O Gone

Today: The first pitch of the getaway game is at 3:10 and will be carried by AT&T SportsNet & 93.7 The Fan.

Pitchers: RHP Chris Archer (3-5, 4.49) closes the set against RHP German Márquez (9-8, 4.70). Arch didn't exactly flash ace stuff in his Pirates debut, but we expect better now that he's settled in and the initial adrenaline surge has receded. He's faced the Rox once back in 2016, giving up two runs and fanning 11 in six innings at Coors Field. Don't sleep on Marquez because of his line; he's 3-0/2.95 in his last six starts after recovering from a five-game run where he was serving BP. He's already beaten the Bucs in an April outing, holding them to two runs in six innings with six whiffs.

Lineup: Corey Dickerson LF, Starling Marte CF, Gregory Polanco RF, Fran Cervelli C, Colin Moran 3B, Adam Frazier 2B, J-Bell 1B, Adeiny Hechavarria SS & Archer P. A different look for getaway day - Bell's back, Hechy gets his first Bucco start and Fraze steps in at second. Frazier actually has been much better there this year; it's his 26th start and he has a Total Zone defensive runs saved total of +2; J-Hay has a -8.

Notes:
  • After poking, probing, and a sweaty workout this morning, J-Bell was activated from the DL and Jose Osuna returned to Indy. The gang is back together.
  • Edgar Santana has faced a 50-50 draw against righties and lefties; he's put up a reverse split against them (.265 OppBA v righties, .216 v lefties).
  • Good company: Last night, Jamo tossed the first nine-inning complete game by a visitor at Coors Field since Clayton Kershaw on July 2nd, 2013.
