Big Joe v Miles Mikolas, Lineup and Notes

Game: Opening pitch will be at 8:15 in Busch Stadium. The game will be on AT&T SportsNet and 93.7 The Fan. There's a chance of showers, especially near gametime, as the remnants of Barry make their rounds.

Lineups: Adam Frazier 2B, Bryan Reynolds RF, Starling Marte CF, Josh Bell 1B, Colin Moran 3B, Corey Dickerson LF, Kevin Newman SS, Jake Stallings C, Joe Musgrove P. Jake is getting more and more time behind the dish; looks like Clint is gaining some confidence in him.

Pitchers: RHP Joe Musgrove (6-7/4.15) starts if off against RH Miles Mikolas (5-9, 4.53). In his last four starts, Joe has been 2-0/1.64 and the Bucs have won all four games. In his only outing against the Redbirds this year, Joe was clocked for eight runs in three innings; he uncharacteristically walked five (he's not walked more than two in any of his other 19 starts), so we're hoping that Card Black Magic doesn't swirl around him tonight. Miles had a tough start, and though he's righted the ship somewhat, he's been spotty since May. He's given up five runs in 12 innings over his two starts against Pittsburgh this year, with an 0-1 slate to show for his efforts.

Notes:
  • The Cards and Bucs have meet six times so far; the series is tied at three wins each.
  • Gregory Polanco left yesterday's rehab game at Indy w/shoulder tightness, so we'll see where that leads.
  • RHP Mitch Keller was named the International League Pitcher of the Week for the second time this year. He tossed once, posting a six-inning, two-hit shutout with eight K. Mitch is 7-3/3.07 in 15 starts with 96 whiffs in 82 IP for the campaign.
  • RHP Casey Sadler has been on a yo-yo; his new club, the Dodgers, just called him up today. The 28-year-old was with the Bucs until last year, became a FA, signed with Tampa Bay and then was traded to LA.
