Pitchers: RHP Joe Musgrove (9-12/4.67) v RHP Jeff Samardzija (10-11/3.64). Moose has been fairly solid since the end of July, but a couple of clunkers dinged his ERA. Big Joe missed his last start with a sore foot and wasn't named for today until after last night's match, and at 154 IP has reached a career high in workload, so we'll see how he holds up. He hasn't faced the G-Men since last year, when he gave up four runs (three earned) in six frames. The Shark has been in a frenzy since July, going 6-4/2.72 in 13 starts while holding oppo batters to a .193 BA. The Pirates beat him up some when they faced him last year, but he's 6-4/3.06 against the Buccos lifetime.
