News of the week:
- Matt Swartz of MLB Trade Rumors has his arb salary projections out; the Pirates have a huge class of 19 arb-eligible players currently on their roster.
- Another roster buster is on the horizon. The Pirates have a full 40-man roster, plus 11 guys on the 60-day IL. Those 11 must be restored to the 40-man roster within five days of the end of the World series, so quite the crowd...
- Steve Adams has more MLBTR Pirates analysis with a look at potential offseason player movement for the Buccos.

- 2B Adam Frazier is a Rawlings Gold Glove Award Finalist for the second time, along w/the Cubs' Nico Hoerner and the Cards' Kolten Wong. Fraze had +4 DRS this season w/just one boot, per Fangraphs. Maz with 8 GG's and Chico Lind are the other Bucco 2B to win the honor.
- C Jake Stallings is a first-time nominee for the award, joining the Cubs Willson Contreras and Reds Tucker Barnhart. Per Baseball Reference, he threw out 33% of attempted base stealers (league average 24%) and is considered one of the top backstops in framing/game management. Jake is trying to join C's Mike LaValliere and Tony Pena as Pittsburgh GG winners.
- Jonathan Mayo of MLB Pipeline takes a quick look at the Pirates Instructional League prospects.
- Rob Biertempfel of The Athletic reported that Don Kelly interviewed for the Tigers skipper spot, but is considered down the list because of inexperience. Rob believes that all the 2020 coaches will return next season. Jon Heyman of MLB.com later added that Kelly was also a candidate for the BoSox job.
- Ol' Bucco Swiss Army knife Josh Harrison signed a one-year/$1M deal with the Nats.
