Bics Take Opener 2-1

Today's Game: The Royals stranded a two-out single against Tyler Anderson to open the game. The Bucs accepted a gift when Bryan Reynolds walked with two gone, went to second on a wild pitch and scored on Colin Moran's rap. It was a clean second for Tyler while the Buccos led off with back-to-back knocks by Jake Stallings and Gregory Polanco, but couldn't make hay against Jakob Junis. In the third, KC manufactured a run on a walk, bunt, right-side grounder and infield single. Pittsburgh went without a peep. KC banged a two-out single for their fourth inning action while the Pirates made nary a peep. In the fifth, the Royals drew a walk while Pittsburgh went down in order once again. It was a 1-2-3 sixth for Anderson; the Bucs got a two-out single for their efforts.
