Notes: Bucs 0-for-6 This Week; Injury News; Bradenton No-No

Minor league service time sentences have about been served...

Notes:

  • The Bucs dropped two game to Motown at PNC to open the week. Then off to Atlanta for a four game series; the Bravos won and are on an 11-game winning streak while the Bucs are suffering through a six game string of losses. Now it's off to St. Louis for a four game set.
  • OF Travis Swaggerty collected his first MLB hit against Atlanta on Thursday, legging out an infield rap.
  • LHP Dillon Peters was put on the 15-day IL with a back strain, retro to June 3rd, and LHP Aaron Fletcher was recalled from Indy.
  • RHP Heath Hembree (calf strain) began his rehab assignment at Indy on Tuesday.
  • OF Greg Allen, already on the 60-day IL, suffered another setback in his rehab when his good hammy acted up.

  • Bradenton pitchers Quinn Priester, Anthony Solometo, Jake Sweeney and Yunior Thibo combined to toss a no-hitter for Bradenton on Thursday in a 3-0 win over Clearwater. Priester is scheduled to go to High A Greensboro for his next start and then to AA Altoona.
  • C Henry Davis (wrist) started a rehab assignment on Tuesday; he was plunked with a pitch for the 12th time this year in his first game and taken out. But no worries; he was back in action in a couple of days - and got HBP again! Nevertheless, he made it back to the Altoona roster on Friday, and got clipped three times more!
  • 19-year-old OF Lonnie White, the Pirates #64 overall pick in the 2021 draft, was switched from the 7-day to 60-day IL with an elbow injury.
  • Briefly-a-Bucco RHP Parker Markel was DFA'ed by the A's and claimed by the Chicago White Sox.
