Notes: Cutch Re-Ups, Old Bucs Find New Landing Spots As All Is Quiet On The PNC Front

Pirates Stuff:

• Andrew McCutchen re-upped with the Bucs last week on a one-year/$5M deal, the same agreement he reached in 2023 & 2024. Now pretty much used as a DH, the 38-year-old Cutch slashed .232/.328/.411w/20 home runs & 50 RBIs in '24 while battling various leg miseries.  

Other Stuff: 

• RHP Ben Heller, 33, signed a minor league deal with the Chicago Cubs. He slashed 0-1/11.25 in eight outings with 15K in 12 IP for the Bucs last year. 
• DH Josh Bell, 32, signed a one-year/$6M deal with the Nationals.
• RHP Trevor Williams, 32, stayed with the Washington Nationals, signing a two-year/$14M contract. He spent his first five years in the league with the Bucs.
• RHP Charlie Morton, 41, inked a one-year/$15M contract with Baltimore.
