Jerry Crasnick of ESPN reports that "RHP Kevin Correia has reached an agreement with the Pittsburgh Pirates on a two-year, $8 million contract. The deal, which includes unspecified incentives, is contingent on Correia passing a physical exam.
Correia, 30, posted a 12-11 record with a 3.91 ERA in 2009 for San Diego before slumping to 10-10 with a 5.40 ERA last season." (Rob Biertempfel of the Tribune Review and Dejan Kovacevic of the Post Gazette both confirmed the rumor this morning.)
A little competition for the rotation? Now there's a concept.
