Liriano v Miller

Francisco Liriano (12-5, 2.83) goes against Shelby Miller (11-7, 2.89) tonight. The Cisco Kid allowed a career-high 10 runs on 11 hits and lost 10-1 on Friday at Colorado, but overall has given up one earned run or less in 11 of his first 17 starts. He allowed one run in seven innings and won a 9-2 decision against Jake Westbrook at PNC Park a couple of weeks ago.

Miller left his last start after just two pitches when he took a line drive off his right elbow, but has tossed two bullpen sessions since then and is rarin' to go.He's 0-2 with a 3.86 ERA against Pittsburgh.

The game starts at 8:05 and will be on ESPN, Root Sports and 93.7 The Fan.

Pirate lineup: Starling Marte LF, Jordy Mercer SS, Andrew McCutchen CF, Pedro Alvarez 3B, Neil Walker 2B, Garrett Jones 1B, Andrew Lambo RF, Tony Sanchez C and Francisco Liriano P.
