Locke v Stults

Jeff Locke (10-5, 3.14) looks to build on his last outing against Jeff Stults (8-13, 4.03) tonight. Locke went seven three-hit innings in his last outing against the Cubs. Stults, who hasn't won since mid-July, had a strong six inning appearance against the Phils last time out, giving up two runs. So it'll be a battle of not-so-consistent lefties, with both coming off promising performances.

The game starts at 7:05 and will be aired by Root Sports and 93.7 The Fan

Pirate lineup: Starling Marte LF, Jordy Mercer SS, Andrew McCutchen CF, Marlon Byrd RF, Gaby Sanchez 1b, Russ Martin C, Pedro Alvarez 3b, Josh Harrison 2b and Jeff Locke P.

He's baaaack...though JT has done yeoman's work while Starling was out.

Padre lineup: Chris Denorfia LF, Will Venable CF, Jedd Gyorko 2b, Chase Headley 3b, Tommy Medica RF, Kyle Blanks 1b, Ronny Cedeno SS, Nick Hundley C and Eric Stults P.
