Saturday: Twins Visit, Lineup & Pitchers; Yesterday's Recap, First Cuts, Notes

Game: The Twins come to Bradenton to battle the Bucs at 1:05. The game will be on AT&T SportsNet and MLB Gameday.

Lineup: Adam Frazier 2B, Pat Kivlehan LF, Corey Dickerson DH, Lonnie Chisenhall RF, Colin Moran 3B, Jose Osuna 1B, Kevin Newman SS, JB Shuck CF, Cristian Kelley C (Clay Holmes P). Kevin Kramer, Calvin Mitchell, Bryan Reynolds, Jason Martin, Pablo Reyes, Ke'Bryan Hayes and Will Craig are also slated to see some action.

Pitchers: RHP Clay Holmes faces LHP Martin Perez. Holmes' parade mates will be Felipe Vazquez, Keone Kela, Richard Rodriguez and Tyler Lyons.

Yesterday's Games: Home -  The Jays homered five times off Willy (2), Mitch Keller (2) and Matt Eckelman (1) in the first five innings to pound out a 10-0 lead. Aaron Slegers kept the Blue Jays in the yard but was touched for another tally, and the Pirates were shut out on three hits, losing 11-0.
Away - It wasn't much better in Dunedin; Toronto roughed up Rookie Davis for four runs in two frames (four hits, four walks) and added another off Michael Feliz, with both twirlers surrendering a blast, and jumped out to a 5-0 lead after three innings. JT Brubaker, Luis Escobar and Eduardo Vera stopped the bleeding, but the Bucs could only put a pair on the board via Oneil Cruz's homer and a Dylan Busby two-bagger to chase home Jared Olivo in a 5-2 defeat.

First Cuts of Camp: Pitchers Mitch Keller, JT Brubacker and Luis Escobar were optioned to Indy while hurlers Dario Agrazal, Eduardo Vera, Blake Weiman and Elvis Escobar along with catcher Jason Delay were assigned to minor league camp at Pirate City. Still a few decisions to make - MLB camp has 54 players even after the cuts.

• Adam Berry of MLB.com picks his lineup/25-man roster for the Bucs if the season started tomorrow.
• Colin Deppen of The Incline has a fairly quick read on the trials and travails of PNC Park.
• The MLB is testing some pretty radical changes now that they have the Atlantic League as a proving grounds. Robo-umps, minimizing the shift, eliminating some mound visits, three-batter minimum, adding two feet between the mound/plate and more...seems like some overkill to us, although it may just be a good faith effort to gather data on the results.
