Pitchers: RHP Chase De Jong (0-0/1.80) takes on LHP Trevor Rogers (6-3/1.87). Chase's first Bucco outing was strong, going five innings of one-run, three hit, five K ball against the Rox. This is his first call against the Marlins. After a rough intro to MLB last year, Rogers, 23, has won the NL Rookie-of-the-Month award in April and May. We'll get to see if the hype is for real; this will be his first outing against Pittsburgh.

Notes:

• Reverse split? Adam Frazier has collected 13 hits in his last 26 at bats off LHP and is hitting .344 (21-for-61) against southpaws so far this season.
• Buc inning eater: Since the start of the 2020 season, Chris Stratton's 61 IP are the most in the majors among relief pitchers.
• And what dad doesn't have a home vid of his kid playing ball, maybe even hitting a homer? Jake Crouse of MLB.com notes the Charlie Hayes (or Old Hayes, if you prefer) is part of that rite-of-passage club.
• The Fish aren't only losing games, but pitchers: The Marlins placed Cody Poteet (knee), yesterday's starter, on the 10-day IL, and Elieser Hernandez (quad), who started Thursday, was put on the 60-day IL.
