Bolsinger has been an on-and-off starter for LA, with 18 outings under his belt. He replaced Mat Latos in the rotation. Bolsinger only lasted four innings in his last outing, and the knock on him is that he can't get past the fifth inning. The game starts at 4:10 and will be on Root Sports and 93.7 The Fan.

Today's Lineup - Gregory Ploanco RF, Starling Marte LF, Cutch CF, A-Ram 3B, Neil Walker 2B, Fran Cervelli C, Pedro 1B, Jordy SS, Cole P.

Looks like the Bucs regular lineup; Josh has been relegated to lefty/spot starts lately, even with JHK out of action.

  • Home sweet home: Cole Train is undefeated in four career decisions in his home state of California with one win each in San Francisco, San Diego, Anaheim and Los Angeles (S/O to Tom Singer).
  • The Kid has three straight multi-hit games.
  • Starling Marte leads the NL in game-winning RBI with 16 and MLB in OF assists with 14.
  • Tim Williams of Pirate Prospects reported that the Bucs will call up OF'er Keon Broxton now that Indy's season as done. He started the year at Altoona; he hit .256 at Indy and stole 28 bases, so he can run some and is a RH outfielder, which is something the Pirate bench lacks except for multi-role players Josh & S-Rod.
  • Gerrit will try to become the first Pirate to win more than 16 games in a season since John Smiley went 20-8 in 1991. The last Pirates righthander to win more than 16 games was Doug Drabek in 1990 when he went 22-6.
