Pitchers: Jeff Locke (1-2, 4.68) has the not-so-enviable task of trying to derail Jake Arrieta (6-0, 1.13). Jeff is underrated as a back end guy; he' actually only had one terrible start this season (2.73 ERA minus one outing), tho it may take more than a workmanlike effort to topple Arrieta. Locke hasn't faced the Bruins this year, and in two 2015 starts had a 9.00 ERA against Chi-town. Jake is Superman in Cubbie blue, and sure has been against Pittsburgh. In 10 lifetime starts, he's 7-1/1.50.

Lineup: John Jaso 1B, Cutch CF, Gregroy Polanco RF, Starling Marte LF, Fran Cervelli C, Jung Ho Kang 3B, Josh Harrison 2B, Jordy SS, Locke P.
Well, this one is not exactly an ideal match up, but hey, there's a reason they play the games. Jeff has been tossing well enough that he should be able to keep the Bucs in the game, and what the heck - he can't do much worse than Cole Train or Frankie.
- Rehab project Daniel Bard was released by the Pirates, per Peter Gammons.
- Good minor league pitching makin' it hard for you to keep up? Add Frank Duncan to your list of prospects. Just promoted from Altoona, he spun six innings of one hit, shutout ball for Indy in his AAA debut.
