Pitchers: Jon Niese (4-2, 5.28) meets Tyler Chatwood (5-3, 3.20). Niese has been solid in his last two outings, but Colorado got five runs on 10 hits (two went yard) in five frames against him last month. That was at Coors; hopefully, PNC will prove friendlier. Chatwood had Tommy John surgery in 2014 and missed most of the previous two seasons, but the ground-ball guy has bounced back well. Chatwood's 0.33 road ERA is tops in the majors, so he's one arm that definitely doesn't miss Mile High.

Lineup: John Jaso 1B, Starling Marte CF, Gregory Polanco RF, Jung Ho Kang 3B, Fran Cervelli C, Matt Joyce RF, Josh Harrison 2B, Jordy SS, Niese P. Don't panic - Cutch is just getting a day off; the bench is deep enough that the lineup hardly skips a beat.
- Home field advantage: The Rockies have gone 2-9 over their last 11 games at PNC Park
- How unusual was Cole Train's performance yesterday? He's the first pitcher since 1992 to post seven or more IP of one-run ball with 10+ hits and zero Ks.
- Starling Marte's throw to home to nail Dustin Garneau was clocked at 100.6 MPH by Statcast. That makes it the third fastest OF toss of the season. Starling is second in MLB with six assists.
