The happenings:
- Dan Szymborski of Fangraphs has released his Bucco ZiPS projections; Ke'Bryan, Big Joe and Fraze are pretty much it by his reckoning. And the latter two are rumored to be on the block...

- The Pirates signed free agent RHP Chase De Jong, 27, to a minor league deal. He tossed 15 MLB games (10 starts) in four years for the Mariners, Twins and 'Stros with a 1-5/7.12 slash, and is seen as a depth acquisition for the Bucs.
- Guess what team is ranked #30 in MLB.com's first Power Ratings for 2021? On the brighter side, MLB Pipeline expects LHP Cody Bolton to debut this season.
- The Minnesota Twins have signed utilityman JT Riddle to a minor league deal with an invitation to camp. JT hit .149 in 23 games for the Bucs last year.
- The Brewers signed INF/OF Pablo Reyes to a minor league contract with an invitation to camp. The utility guy hit .229 as a Buc from 2018-19 while plating six different positions. He played in the Dominican League last year.
- Hey, he found a job: The Detroit Tigers have signed LHP Miguel Del Pozo to a minor league contract. He gave up seven runs in 3-2/3 IP for the Bucs last year.
- OF Socrates Brito, who signed with the Bucs last year and then opted out of the season from Altoona in September when his brother died of Covid, agreed to a minor league deal with the Yankees.
