The beat guys are reporting that, as feared, Donnie Veal will undergo TJ surgery tomorrow. Veal, 25, has a torn left ulnar collateral ligament, and will miss this season along with a good chunk of 2011.
He joins a long list of Bucco pitchers who had the TJ procedure recently - Kevin Hart this year, and Tyler Yates, Neal Cotts, and Jimmy Barthmaier in 2009.
Brad Lincoln and Bryan Morris both has the surgery, so it shows you can come back and be effective, although it subtracts two or three seasons from your career.
