Jim Callis of Baseball America had his prospects' chat today, and touched on a couple of young Buccos:
About Jameson Taillon - "Sounds like the Pirates are doing with Taillon what the Rockies did with Tyler Matzek last year. Unless he just comes out and destroys SAL competition, I bet Taillon spends the year in low Class A."
About Chase d'Arnaud - "Could see him (MLB) ready in 2012, but I'm not sure he's a shortstop."
About Pedro/Anthony Rendon "Alvarez is going to wind up at 1B in the next few years regardless of whom the Pirates draft. If they take Rendon, he moves sooner because Rendon won't need a lot of time in the minors."
About Luis Heredia - "He's only 16, so (it will take him) at least four years (to reach the majors)."
