-- Charlie Morton faces rookie Greg Reynolds, who is taking Ubaldo Jimenez's spot while he's on the DL. It's a 7:05 PM start and the first fireworks night of the year. Root Sports will air the game.
-- The lineup: Jose Tabata LF, Neil Walker 2B, Andrew McCutchen CF, Lyle Overbay 1B, Pedro Alvarez 3B, Ryan Doumit C, Garrett Jones RF, Josh Rodriguez SS, Charlie Morton P. Hmmm, J-Rod at short again. Could Ronny Cedeno be on a short leash this season?
-- The Pirates have recalled Daniel McCutchen from Indy and put Ross Ohlendorf on the 15-day DL with a right shoulder posterior strain. We assume Jeff Karstens will pick up Ohlie's starts and D-Mac become the long man. The Bucs are off Monday; they could just skip Ohlie the next time around.
-- Evan Meek will be out of action until Tuesday and miss the remainder of the Colorado series.
-- The Bucs drew 2,500+ for their 5K charity run this morning. Wonder how many of the merry joggers attended last night's marathon game? They might have been better off to crash at PNC.
-- Hey, guess what? Ian Snell is considering un-retiring. The Cards won't stand in his way, they'll grant him an unconditional release.
