The lineup is: Jose Tabata LF, Ronny Cedeno SS, Andrew Mccutchen CF, Neil Walker 2B, Garrett Jones RF, Lyle Overbay 1B, Mike McKenry C, Brandon Wood 3B, Jeff Karstens P.
Little bit of a different look. Cedeno moves to the two hole, and Wood drops to the eight spot. McKenry is still looking for his first MLB knock.
- The Pirates have drawn 669,637 fans for the first 32 home games, an increase of just a tad more than 100,000 from the same time last season, when they moved 568,096 tickets. The Bucs are creating a bit of buzz. Last night, the pregame walkup was 5,000 ticket-buyers, which is pretty good for a Monday night, and represented a third of the crowd in attendance.
- Steve Pearce isn't expected back until the start of July at the earliest.
- Jose Ascanio has passed through waivers unclaimed and was outrighted to AAA Indy where he can work on recovering his arm strength and command after two seasons of relative inactivity.
- Tim Williams of Pirate Prospects says the Bucs are hot on the trail of 16 year old OF'er Harold Ramirez from Colombia, who may be in line for a $1M bonus.
