Pitching: Ryan Vogelsong (1-0, 4.50) v Shane Greene (0-0, 0.00). V-Song has just two innings under his belt to go with a meh spring; hopefully, he can rise to the occasion. He's seen the Tigers once, pitching fairly well back in 2011. Frankie was slated to go, but has a hammy issue. Greene has one inning of relief so far in 2016, and this will be his first start of the campaign as he replaces Daniel Norris, on the DL with a bad back. Shane faced the Pirates last year and spun a three hit shutout.

Lineup: John Jaso 1B, Cutch CF, David Freese 3B, Starling Marte LF, Fran Cervelli C, Gregory Polanco RF, Josh Harrison 2B, Jordy Mercer SS, Ryan Vogelsong P. Same ol'.
- Mike Morse was DFA'ed; three was a crowd at first, and JHK is due back in a couple of weeks. They called up AJ Schugel, a solid move considering Lobstein & Kuebke were burned yesterday and Ryan Vogelsong is sailing in uncharted waters when he climbs the hill for his first start.
- Tonight will be Ryan Vogelsong's first start as a Pirate since Sept. 29th, 2004 against the Phils. Philly won 8-3, with the loss going to the bullpen.
- Ugh. Francisco Liriano has right hamstring discomfort and his status is day-to-day.
- SS Pedro Florimon went unclaimed and was outrighted to Indy. John Holdzkom is now a free agent after clearing release waivers, so he may be back. He couldn't be DFA'ed because he's considered injured, which would help explain his spring.
