Dario v Pablo Lopez, Lineup & Notes

Game: The game starts at 6:10 and will be aired by AT&T SportsNet & 93.7 The Fan.

Lineup: Kevin Newman SS, Bryan Reynolds RF, Starling Marte CF, Josh Bell 1B, Colin Moran 3B, Corey Dickerson LF, Elias Diaz C, Adam Frazier 2B, Dario Agrazal P. Hmmm...another day down for Gregory. Hope they're working on his swing and not his wing.

Pitchers: RHP Dario Agrazal makes his debut against RHP Pablo Lopez (4-5/4.26). Agrazal, 24, moved from Altoona to Indy, where he went 4-2/3.10. He's a pitch-to-contact, ground ball machine with sharp control, so we'll see how that translates in the Pirates starter merry-go-round. Lopez's last three outings have each gone six innings; in those 18 frames, he's given up two runs on 11 hits with three walks and 19 strikeouts, so the 23-year-old is finding his way around the hill in his second campaign. This will be his first outing against Pittsburgh.

Notes:
  • The Dario Agrazal roster moves: Dovy Neverauskas was returned to Indy and Keone Kela was placed on the 60 day IL. Gonna be a lot of 40-man cleanup when the longer term guys return to action. The 60-day list now carries Keone, Jamo, Nick Burdi, Erik Gonzalez, Lonnie Chisenhall, Chad Kuhl and Edgar Santana.
  • Jordan Lyles threw a bullpen session today.
  • Connor Byrne of MLB.com took a look at Bryan Reynolds. He likes him but notes because of some underlying numbers that "A peek under the hood suggests he’s not there yet, but Reynolds does look like a legitimate building block for the Pirates."
