Braves Close Out Set Looking to Broom, Willy v Teheran, Lineup & Notes

Today: No getaway matinee; it's a 7:05 start. The game will be carried by AT&T SportsNet & 93.7 The Fan.

Pitchers: RHP Trevor Williams (10-9, 3.53) finishes up against RHP Julio Teheran (8-7, 4.24). Willy has been on an unbelievable roll, allowing just three runs in 36 innings over his past six starts, good for a 4-2/0.75 line. He hasn't seen the Bravos since April of last year, when he tossed two innings of relief, giving up a hit and fanning three. Teheran has been all over the board this campaign with his performances, but his last two starts have been strong ones, giving up three runs over 13 frames. Atlanta lost both of his 2017 starts against the Pirates as Julio gave up five runs in 13 innings, but that's a little misleading - all the runs were unearned, and he gave up 10 hits with 10 K in those outings.

Lineup: Corey Dickerson LF, Starling Marte CF, Gregory Polanco RF, Fran Cervelli C, Adam Frazier 2B, J-Bell 1B, Colin Moran 3B, Adeiny Hechavarria SS & Williams P. J-Hay is still among the walking wounded and Starling is out of the doghouse.

Notes:
  • The 2019 schedule is out; the Pirates open March 28th at Cincinnati, with the home opener slated for April 1st against the Cards. Interleague play features the AL West plus their designated rival, the Detroit Tigers.
  • The Bucs have dropped 7-of-9 games.
  • Pittsburgh’s outfielders have recorded a NL-leading 28 assists this season. Starling Marte shares the league lead with 10 assists, Gregory Polanco shares the league lead among right fielders with eight assists and Corey Dickerson is tied for second in the league with seven assists among left fielders.
  • Players weekend is coming up, so don't change the channel when you see the Buccos wearing softball jerseys with weird nicknames across the back.
