Pittsburgh-San Francisco Finale, J-Grove v Rodriguez, Lineup & Notes - Cervy TBD

Today: The game begins at 4:05 and will be aired by AT&T SportsNet & 93.7 The Fan.

Pitchers: RHP Joe Musgrove (4-6, 3.41) tackles rookie ace RHP Dereck Rodriguez (5-1, 2.34). Big Joe has been plenty tough lately, but all he has to show for it are 1-0 and 2-0 losses, so a few runs are in order this afternoon. He's given the Bucs quantity as well as quality, too, having gone seven innings or more in his last four starts. This will be J-Grove's first outing against the Giants. Rodriguez has been special; he hasn't given up three runs since mid-June and has been touched for just seven scores on 29 hits in his last 60 IP. This is his first dance with Pittsburgh and it should be a dandy. Rodriguez comes by his talent honestly; he's the son of Pudge Rodriguez.

Lineup: Corey Dickerson LF, Starling Marte CF, Gregory Polanco RF, J-Bell 1B, Colin Moran 3B, Eli Diaz C, Adam Frazier 2B, Jordy SS & Musgrove P. As feared, no Cervy. Fraze gets the nod at second again; he's been playing the position pretty well this season.

Notes:
  • Jacob Stallings is here as a taxi-squad member; he could be activated as soon as today pending Cervy's medical report.
  • Should I stay or should I go...the Bucs have won four of their last five games after dropping three in a row.
  • J-Bell is hitting .330 (35-for-107) with 17 RBI in his last 32 games, dating back to June 24th.
  • Adeiny Hechavarria is 3-for-5 as a Bucco with a double and homer.
  • After today, the Pirates have an Monday break before closing out the road trip with a pair of games against the Twins.
