Lineup: Adam Frazier 2B, Kevin Newman , Josh Bell 1B, Colin Moran DH, Bryan Reynolds LF, JT Riddle RF, Erik Gonzalez 3B, Jarrod Dyson CF, John Ryan Murphy C and Steven Brault P. Not too bad for a Sunday lineup, and JR gets to follow his trip to the mound last night with a start behind the dish today.

Pitchers: LHP Steven Brault (0-0, 7.20) closes the set against RHP Spencer Turnbull (1-0, 2.45). Joe Musgrove was scheduled to start but was scratched because of a sore right ankle. Detroit chased Brault on Friday when he faced six batters and got none of them out. In two starts and 11 IP, Turnbull has given up three runs on six hits and five walks while fanning 14 w/1.82 FIP, so he's off to a pretty solid start. He threw a no decision against the Pirates last year, giving up a run on two hits in six innings with two walks and five K.t will start.
Notes:
- Jason Mackey of the Post Gazette broke the news and the Pirates later confirmed that that Nick Mears is being returned to Altoona, Phil Evans will go on the 45 IL (he suffered a broken jaw and concussion when he collided with Gregory Polanco; that ends his season), Jose Osuna will be recalled and LHP Brandon Waddell will come up. The 26-year-old Waddell has had success for the Curve (15-14/3.45) but not so much with Indy (8-15/6.12). The southpaw was mainly a starter at Altoona and split duty between the rotation and pen at Indy; he was more effective in a starting role.
- Yesterday, Ben Cherington told Adam Berry of MLB.com that 3B K'Bryan Hayes is back in action at Altoona and that the guys there are seeing limited live pitching; seems that there aren't enough arms in camp to even schedule a full nine-inning scrimmage.
- It's not looking so good for the Bucs-Cards series, due to start in SL tomorrow night. The Monday game is canceled and T-W are TBD.
