Today's Game: It's a 12:35 getaway day game and will be broadcast on AT&T SportsNet & 93.7 The Fan. The Pirates are looking for a series win; they've already taken 2-of-3 in the set. Dress warm today; it's supposed to be dry but a bit raw like an autumn afternoon. It's Jackie Robinson Day, so if you see a lot of #42's running around PNC Park, well...
Lineup: Adam Frazier 2B; Kevin Newman; Bryan Reynolds LF; Colin Moran 1B; Erik Gonzalez 3B; Gregory Polanco RF; Jake Stallings C; Dustin Fowler CF; Mitch Keller P. Phil the Thrill gets a day off.

Pitchers: RHP Mitch Keller (1-1/4.50) closes out the set v RHP Chris Paddack (0-1/5.63). After a shaky start, Mitch looked solid in his last outing and will hopefully build on that today. This is the first time he's worked against the Padres. Paddack has tossed a pair of meh four-inning starts this year, and though he's been a little wild, his FIP (3.19) indicates he's had a little bit of tough luck in the early going. He started once against Pittsburgh, giving up two runs in five frames back in 2019 as a rookie.
Notes:
- The Pirates have won 4-of-5 going into today's game.
- Pittsburgh begins a 10-day, nine-game road trip tomorrow with visits to Milwaukee, Detroit and Minnesota for three-game sets.
Tomorrow's Game: The Pirates embark on their campaign as Midwest road warriors, starting with a three-gamer at Milwaukee. The match starts at 8:10 and will be carried by ATT&T SportsNet & 93.7 The Fan. JT Brubaker takes on Adrian Houser.
