Pitchers: RHP Chad Kuhl (1-1, 3.10) and RHP Tejay Antone (0-1, 2.66) close it out. (Sonny Gray was originally slated) Pittsburgh has to be pleased with Chad's comeback after surgery, though he still has a bit to go. Tejay is making his third MLB start; one was strong, one not so much. He's apparently got good stuff though - the swingman only given up eight hits on 20+ IP; he's walked more (9). So we'll see what the 26-year-old has today; it'll be the first time Pittsburgh has faced him.
Notes:
- OF Anthony Alford was placed on the 45-Day IL (fractured elbow) and OF Jason Martin was called up from Altoona.
- Fraze goes into today with hits in nine straight games while Gonzo is sporting a seven-game hitting streak.
- The Pirates are off tomorrow after playing 15 games in 13 days.
