Gorzo Goes To Nats

Ben Nicholson-Smith of Major League Trade Rumors reports that according to various sources ol' Bucco Tom Gorzelanny is headed to Washington. The Cubs will get two Class A pitchers, Grahmam Hicks and AJ Morris, and a good-looking AA outfielder, Michael Burgess, for the lefty.

The Pirates got Kevin Hart, Jose Ascanio, and Josh Harrison for Gorzo and John Grabow at the 2009 deadline.

I've heard whispers in various quarters that Gorzellany is A) a jerk, and B) allergic to conditioning. While I emphasize that I have no personal knowledge of him or his character and that I also lack any objectively reliable source(s) for this information, it still raised my eyebrows that a lefthanded starting pitcher with his ability has now been traded twice in two years. Makes me wonder if the whispers are true.
